Washington Trip

Me, Charlee and Mimi at the waters edge of Deception pass, the beach was so pretty and the water was so calm. We had a great time looking at all the rocks and splashing in the water but boy was it cold. We also had a picnic lunch at Deception pass, it was a wonderful day enjoy the beauty of nature.

Me, Zoey and Charlee being silly on the back of a Ferry that we took across the sound to get back to Seattle. The girls loved that we could drive our car right on to the big boat and then get out and walk around!

Charlee at the Children's museum in Seattle. They had a lot of great displays but Charlee's favorite was the tolder area where she got to splash in water and play on slides.

Charlee had a great time on vacation. She was at first a little worried about Henry but once she warmed up to him she loved him just like the rest of us do. It was great for her to have a chance to play with Dan and Aly as well.

4th of July

We had a great 4th of July and hope that you did as well!!!

First go around with sparklers.. She did pretty good. She wanted to know exactly how it all worked of course. The cups are to protect little hands and arms from sparks.

Her and Colton busy trying to figure it out, they nominated Charlee to try and touch it and see what it was all about.. These two are two days apart and are so stinking funny. The have their own little language and argue sometimes like an old married couple

She did it, she did!! She took the sparkler and is holding it!! She thought she was pretty big stuff for doing this!

Becoming our little fish

We spend a lot of time in the summer around the water.. if we aren't swimming we are on the boat and if we aren't doing either of those we are probably talking about the next time we will be:)

Charlee hasn't shared the rest of the families love of the water! She doesn't mind going to the pool but for the most part she wants to stand on the edge and throw things into the water and yell orders at the other kids swimming.. All of this changed on Friday. Friday afternoon we were at Clear Lake and Z wanted to swim but Charlee didn't seem crazy about it. So her and I stayed dressed and walked Z over to the pool I figured we could watch Z swim and throw stuff in, in our clothes and that is what we did for awhile, until all the sudden Charlee decided that wanted to swim.. right NOW!! So we ran back inside and changed into her wetsuit since it was slightly overcast and alittle chilly. she got in her wet suit no problem and headed right for the pool, this lady had a plan. And her plan was to swim.. and swim she did!! She did a great job. She now even stands on the side and yells Cannon Ball and them waits to hold your hand and jumps in.

She had a great weekend, spent lots of time on the boat and even went on her first tube ride.. she didn't love it but at the same time she didn't HATE it.

This morning when Zoe was getting her hair done, Charlee acted like she wanted her hair done, which is an almost daily occurrence, but this time she left it in... for five minutes... The picture isn't the best but I felt like it had to be documented!
