Sturgis Falls

This weekend was Sturgis Falls and Charlee got to go to her first parade.. which of course she LOVED! She had so much fun watching all the people and floats pass by and of course she got her fair share of candy as well.

She had a lot of fun at the carnival afterwords as well, she rode on the marry go round and once it got started and she figured out what was happening she had a great time.

Love boat

We spent the weekend at the lake this weekend and on Sunday Austin, Colton, Amy and Brian came up. After all the kids were done playing at the pool we went for a boat ride. Where Charlee and Colton had a great time running from the front of the boat to the back and sitting on the same seat and kissing and hugging.. Those two are so stinking cute, we couldn't help but smile.

maybe she knew what was going on.. I just don't know for sure.. but either way I was very proud of her..

So the other morning when I was getting ready for work Charlee walked into the bathroom and said Poot and pointed at her bum.. we all know that Poot means Poop for Charlee.. and I thought she was telling me that she had poop in her diaper, which is not all that uncommon.. but when I looked she did not and I looked at her and said, "Oh, do you need to go poop in the potty?" To which she said "YES" and ran to the potty. We took off her diaper and her skirt and the rest as they say is history. She was so proud of her self and wanted to flush the potty which we did.. several times:)

I am sure its just a one time thing.. but either way... WAY TO GO CHARS!!!!

Could these two sit any closer together?? Charlee climbed up on the couch to sit next to Zoey... so cute!!

Saturday morning donut

So on Saturday morning Zoe and Jake were all sneaky getting dressed and told us they were going to go and clean the garage.. I of course being the mom could guess what was up but I went with it... and then they came back about 30 minutes later with .... donuts!! Charlee loved her donut and ate almost all of it... and as you can see... the frosting might have gotten all over her face.. of course she loved getting that wiped off only because it came with tickles.

Saturday afternoon we headed to the Falls, and Charlee's friend Colton was at the pool.. so she couldn't be shown up by him... so they expolored the zero entry pool and had a great time. Saturday night was Zoe's recital and we knew that Charlee didn't want to sit through all of that.. so she got to spend sometime with Matt and Dana and they had a great time!

Sunday we went to a baptism in Cedar Rapids and then Charlee took a marathon nap, her busy weekend had worn that girl out:)

Sunday night we headed back to the Falls. Charlee had lots of fun!

Breakfast on the deck!

Since the weather has been so nice lately we have been having breakfast (and almost every meal) on the deck. Charlee loves it because she gets to eat at a littler table where she can get up and move around at her will.. of course mom doesn't love that so much but how can you turn down that cute little smile.

Most of the time right after she is done eating she is making a bee line over to the swing set.. this girl LOVES to swing and she would do it all day if someone would stand and push her:) Which of course we do:)
