Her first trip

and Charlee did AMAZING!! This week we took a little beach vacation and it was so fun to have Charlee along. She did a great job on the plane rides looking around and of course making lots and lots of friends! The first day at the beach was a little rough but it was mom and dad's fault so we learned from our mistakes and the other two days went very, very well. Charlee loves the water and had a great time in both the ocean and the pool. She is also getting very, very close to crawling.. I would guess that it won't be long now.. unless she skips the crawling and goes straight to walking because she also LOVES to stand up.. she now even gets a little mad that she has to hold your hand:) My independent child:)

On the trip Charlee also turned 8 months old, I can't believe it. She becoming a little ham!! she loves to make funny faces and get everyone around her to laugh, of course she does  fair amount of laughing herself as well! She also loves to talk, she makes all sorts of noises and every once and awhile we copy someone to the point of understanding. She is eating many, many things now but I would say her favorite would be sweet potatoes and peas. She loves both of those and can't get enough.  She is also becoming a really good sleeper and most nights is sleeping through the night and then taking two longer naps or three littler naps a day. She is in the stranger danger phase and really only likes familiar faces, which of course this mama is a okay with:).

Great Weekend!!

We had a great weekend!! Saturday we went to My Waterloo Days. It was very fun! After My Waterloo Days, Dad and Zoey decided to go swimming but I decided that Charlee had had enough sun so we stayed home. Those times when its just the two of us don't happen very often and it sure was fun. We played ball, worked on our clapping and I swear Charlee waved at me and said "by by". Who knows if that is really how it happened but it sure did make me smile, which of course made Charlee smile

Today we went swimming at the Falls as a family and it sure was fun!! Charlee spent a lot of her time watching Zoe and her friends swim around and then spent some time her self sitting in the water and splashing around. She had a great time!!

It was a wonderful weekend and I am sorry to see it go!

Do you need a hand??

Charlee would be more then happy to give you one:)

Charlee has learned to clap and she loves to show off her new skill, but only on her terms, of course, this strong sense of Independence is becoming a common trend. Heaven help us as she get older, I have a feeling her first words are going to be "me do":)

Okay back to the clapping.. Charlee learned to clap I believe on Tuesday and now she has become a natural. But she doesn't want to do it with anyone. The minute you see her clapping you just want to clap right along but that will put an immediate stop to her clapping , which is also pretty stinking cute! we tried to get video last night of it, but of course she doesn't want to do it when you want her to. My mission this weekend is to follow her around with a camera and get it caught on video.

Have a great weekend!
