the battle of the broccoli

So last night for dinner we had broccoli, normally the girls love it, it really is one of the vegetables I can serve with out any anxiety.

Well last night Charlee decided that she didn't want to eat hers. Zoe had done a great job of eating and was ready for desert so I was giving her a chocolate chip cookie for desert. Of course Charlee also wanted a cookie but I told her that she needed to eat her broccoli if she wanted her cookie. At first she acted like she didn't understand and that it was to complex for her, but then she started turning on the cute factor, which I started laughing at and Zoey gave me "the look" and once that didn't work she simply put her head down. Well I almost caved.. ALMOST but then I decided "no she does understand and she can do this" so I packed up the cookies and at that exact same moment Charlee decided to shovel as much broccoli as possible into her mouth so that she also could have a cookie.. What a stinker!!

She ate every last bite of that cookie and LOVED it!

This weekend char got to go Zoe's soccer practice and she played with her own ball and had a great time! She did watch a little bit! Also she loves to play with Z's back pack for soccer so she put her ball away and put her back pack on, she loved it!

The other day Char and Zoey were on a jeep ride and the entire ride which lasted about ten minutes Char just sat next to Zoey sticking her tongue out  at her. It of course stressed Zoe out but I couldn't stop laughing to do anything about it.

This weekend the weather was perfect and we spent lots of time playing out side with friends! At one point the ice cream truck made a visit to the hood. This was Charlee's first run in with the ice cream man and she of course loved it! and she made quick work of the bomb pop!

We found this dress in charlee's closet and she loved wearing it and we got some new shoes out and for a minute or so she left her pony tail in. She is very woow woow!

Weekend Recap

Another weekend is in the books. .they just go so fast!!!!

We had a great weekend!

Friday night we went to dinner with Melissa, Ella, Carson and Finnegan. The kids had a great time swimming and playing.

Saturday morning we went to the farmers market where I go to buy vegetables and the girls go to buy cookies. They of course found some, that had pink frosting.. so we sat in the park and ate them. If how  messy they were is any indication of how good they were, they must have been wonderful:)

Saturday night we headed to Vinton to watch the fireworks. Char had a great time at Papa Johns and Mary's she got to eat Two slices of cheese pizza, sit in a big person chair and of course turn on the charm. She had a great time! We also went out to the farm to see Custard. Char wasn't real sure what to think of all the animals, they were good from a distance but if any of them got to close she really wasn't that interested:) I love this picture of her just taking it all in:)

We also went out to the gravel road to watch the fireworks. The girls had a great time playing in the back of papa's truck! Charlee liked the fireworks and even caught on to the ooohhhhs and aaahhhs. It was also a great way to practice her learning her colors:)

Movie star week at school

This week at school is movie star week and yesterday they celebrated by making Mickey Mouse hats. Charlee wasn't a huge fan of wearing hers unless the camera was out. and by the time we got out of the car the ears had been taken off:)

Saturday night we went to a friends house for a bonfire and to play outside since it was so nice out.. all of the kids were jumping in the play house and dancing around and listening to the music from one of the power wheels and charlee was doing her little shoulder shrugging dance and I hear one of the big kids say.. "do that charlee" Charlee thought it was so funny!

On Saturday afternoon me and Charlee were laying on her bedroom floor reading books and I look over and Charlee is looking at the book and sucking her thumb. I have never seen her suck her thumb before.. secretly I did think it was just a little bit cute:)

Sunday we were at the lake and the weather wasn't great but it was nice enough to spend some time out side. we were down at the dock getting the jet ski down. and Charlee saw the boat and just kept pointing to it and saying "me sit me sit" it was so cute.. all she wanted to do was go on a boat ride.. so I bet you will never guess what happened..  We went on a boat ride:)

Picnic dinner

Friday night it was just the girls... so we headed to Subway to pick up dinner and then headed to River Hills Schools to play on the playground, have a picnic under all of the big shade tree's and hick through the woods. We had a great time and as you can see by the HUGE smile on Charlee's face anything that has to do with eating and being outside she LOVES!!!
