Big Girl Bed

Well is was bound to happen it finally did.. Charlee moved out of her crib and into her big girl bed:)

She was so excited about having a new bed and then just a couple of weeks later we painted her room purple.

She did a great job of sleeping in it and staying in bed, she loves that she needs a step stool to climb into her bed.

Easter Weekend

We had a great weekend.

Charlee started hers out a little early, her day care closed early on Friday due to technical plumbing issues, so she got to spend her good Friday with Brandie, Marlee and Maddie and of course... She loved it.

Friday night we went to Good Friday services.

Saturday we went to the Annual Vinton Egg hunt. At first Charlee wasn't all that interested but then I told her about the candy inside of each egg and she asked me why we were still standing there and not out getting the eggs. I told her we had to wait for the whistle and then the whistle couldn't blow soon enough!

After the egg hunt we went to Mimi's and colored egg and Charlee of course wanted all of her eggs to be purple but she did a great job of coloring them.

Sunday we went to church and then to Pipac where the brunch was wonderful and Charlee enjoyed a HUGE waffle.

After brunch we headed home to see if the bunny had came and look for eggs. Charlee was sure that the bunny was going to bring her bubbles and when she saw the bubbles she was very very very happy. It was a cold and windy day so we had to do some bubbles inside.

it was such a tough decision to figure out what color to color eggs when she found out they all couldn't be purple.

Little bit of lately!

On Saturday night we went out to dinner for Jake's birthday and Charlee wanted to get all dressed up and of course she also wanted to wear Purple so this dress was the clear winner, along with the purple headband.

We keep asking Charlee if she wants to get her hair cut and so far its been a no go.. I am not sure what she is scared of but at some point we are going to need to do a little trim. Silly little opinionated lady:)

Sunday night Zoey got a bunch of hand me down clothes from her friend Marlee, this of course made Charlee sad, she wanted new clothes as well. So she told me that she was going to ask her friend at day care, Harper that she wanted some of her clothes. Charlee told me the same thing again this morning.. can't wait to pick her up this afternoon and see if she convienced Harper to give her all of her clothes:)

Hello,

I need to apologize I have not been updating like I should and I need to update more often. The first part of March was pretty rough around the Austin house as we got a major stomach but so really nothing fun to report and trust me you don't want to see those pictures:)

Then Jake and I headed to Mexico while the girls got to hang out with Mimi and Grandpa. Of course it goes with out saying they had a great and we had a great time.

So that catches us up to now:)

Z started gymnastics so we have had a lot of cart wheeling going on at our house, this is Charlee doing her cart wheel. She can hold this pose for much longer then you would think normal. And yes, she is wearing two skirts in this picture sometimes just one doesn't cut it:)

Sledding

Finally on Sunday the weather was nice enough after church and we decided to go sledding on the big hill behind our house!! The girls were so excited to get all bundled up and head outside... so excited that I think at first they overdressed a little bit, but after sometime we were able to get the clothing combination just right and we were off.....

We headed to the hill and Charlee attempted to climb up the big hill on her own.. well that is a lot of work for those little legs.. so she decided that riding on mom's shoulders would be the mode of transportation for the day, which of course I was just fine with!!

Then of course once you get to the top you have to go all the way to the bottom..... We did it... over and over and over again!!

So much fun.. but we might have stayed just a little to long.. because on the last ride down the hill when we got to the bottom and I was so happy that we had made it I could feel Charlee jolt just a bit.. I am pretty sure she fell asleep:) So we headed home to take a long, well deserved nap!!

Yeah for nice winter days!

Kids in a candy store

This weekend Zoey decided that she wanted to have a playdate with her friend Ella Paul and the girls had a great time playing together.

At the end of the playdate after Charlee had woke up from nap the girls decided that they wanted to go to the Candy Store downtown... well me being the smart mom that I think that I am I said it was fine but they could all only get one thing...

Well check out these suckers that they found.... All oft the girls were so proud of the HUGE suckers that they found and had a great time enjoying them for the rest of the weekend!

Hello!! Sorry to leave you hanging for so long.. we have been busy but not doing awhole lot:)

Since we have last talked the potty training has been going GREAT! Charlee is doing such a great job and she is so proud of herself.

Charlee has been busy keeping up with the rest of us and just being her! She makes us smile every day with her funny spunky little personality!

Zoey recently started gymnastics so many nights in our living room or the bounce house we have little show's here is Charlee's portion of the show...

On Sunday night while watching the Grammy's Zoey and Charlee were busy dancing around and then Zoey got tired of dancing long before Charlee did and she was going around and asking everyone.. Dance with me please???? How could you say no to a cute little face like that so I danced with her, I don't think it was the same as dancing with Zoey but I think it worked out okay:)
